Picfree Application Review

In this post, I'm going to be doing a review of Pinger's new application for the iPhone and iPod Touch called Picfree. Picfree is an application that allows you to send MMS to other phones. For example, iPhones and iPod Touches can not currently send MMS. But with this application you can! All you pay is $5.99, and you can send all the picture messages you want, all without any extra charges. This is especially great if you like to send loads of picture messages. Even better, if you combine their Textfree with this application, you can completely bypass those outrageous extra monthly charges that carriers have been able to get away with. Here is an example, if you're in the US, AT&T charges $20 for unlimited texting a month. That equates to $240 a year! Just to send text messages! If you bought both Textfree and Picfree, you would pay $11.98. That's it, thats $228.02 cheaper a year!

Besides the price difference, these apps are extremely easy to use with an intuitive and clean UI. Everything in the app is very easy to use. When you first start the app, it asks you for your name and email address. Your name is so people can tell your sending you the message, and the email address is used so people can message you back. Once you enter in this information, Picfree will display all of the photos on your device. To send, just select the picture you want to send and choose who you want to send it to. The app uses your Contacts list, so it can automatically detect who your trying to send to. You can even add text to your picture message! Once your done, just touch "Send" and your done! It's really easy and fun to do.

Out of all the applications of this kind I have reviewed, Picfree and Textfree are clearly the best options out there. When you buy both Picfree and Textfree, you can end up saving hundreds of dollars over getting the monthly plans that carriers have. In all, these applications are a great buy, and I highly suggest you buying them.
